The red box marks the area of Hay Tor's Quarries and Granite Tramway. Head for Bovey Tracey using the Devon Expressway and the A382. Just before reaching the third roundabout on the A382, turn left on the Manaton, Becka Falls and Hay Tor road. Turn left again for Hay Tor after about 200 yards. This is the B3387. You'll know Hay Tor when you see it. There are a number of car parks. The best for exploring the eastern part of the tramway are on the Manaton Road. Turn a very sharp right for Manaton and park in one of the two car parks on your right and left about 300 yards up this road. To pick up the tramway from here go back down the road about 150 yards and you'll see it on your right. If you wish to follow the Templer Way, turn left.
The westernmost quarries and track are best seen having parked in the car park on the right just before you get to Saddle Tor.
The information kiosk in the bottom car park is full of useful information and maps, though not of the tramway.
